Zone Diet Menu

Written by zonediet on Sunday, August 31st, 2008 in Zone Diet.

Looking at zone diet menu before starting the diet is an important step, because right there and then you can asses if you will last being in the zone. If you will not like the food of the diet, you cannot just learn to eat the right foods, you have to like it before you can start. What you can do if you do not prefer the foods of the zone diet is do a preliminary taste test of the food, by cooking the foods yourself or cooked by somebody else based on a zone diet menu. This will prepare you of what to come, and a little taste of a healthy life.

Do a three day trial of the foods. Here is an example for a day:

* Breakfast:
o White of the eggs, any green vegetable omelet, prepared in olive oil
o Any meal of oats kind, maybe cereal or others
o A serving of fruit, mango or banana

* Lunch:
o Chicken breast steamed or broiled
o Olive oil salad dressing of mix green vegetables
o A slice of apple

* Dinner:
o Grilled salmon with lemon juice
o Any vegetable, sautéed or steamed
o Berries, preferably 10 pieces

* Snacks:

* A single serving of fruit
* Oatmeal
* Yogurt non-fat or not

Fortunately though, all “zone diets” follows the main theme, which is the 40:30:30 ration of carbohydrates, protein and fat.
