There are a lot of resources in the web as well as commercially(books, audio-books and etc) for those who are new to zone diet planning or could not understand the program. Some of these resources might be not reliable but most of it shows a detailed procedure on how you will benefit from zone diet and how the whole process is done.
Basically a zone diet plan is about getting the best out of the food we normally would eat, the nutrients and how it affects our body. Upon following the zone diet plan developed by Dr. Barry Sears, the bodily hormones are kept in check and balanced to a normal state, specially the valuable ones like insulin. The guide is more on quality of the food in take not as much as the quantity, like most of the dietary plans out there, which will let you starve just for that few inches you will loose.

Barry has been in the zone for almost a year now. And here is what he has to say about how inspiring zone diet is.
“hello i would like to take this opportunity to tell everybody that this stuff works…and you don’t have to pay a lot of money to be in the zone…just found a resource in the web and followed simple instructions…this was the last diet program i tried, because this was the only one that worked for me…i started slow and just kept my pace in my diet, never really forced myself…whats nice about this is that it keeps you healthy, no starving and what not…

Teaching nutrition lessons, preparing healthy school meals and offering a friendly greeting are all in a day’s work for more than 250,000 child nutrition employees in the nation’s 99,000 school cafeterias and kitchens. The non-profit School Nutrition Association celebrates this professional commitment with Child Nutrition Employee Appreciation Week, May 5 - 9, 2008. The week is an opportunity for parents, students, school staff and communities to thank those who provide healthy school meals to more than 30 million children each school day.
