Zone Diets

There is not much variety of zone diets out there, of course the original is Dr. Barry Sears Zone Diet which is backed up by a lot of references like The Zone: A Dietary Road Map, Mastering the Zone, The Soy Zone and etc. But there are some resources on the net that is spreading lately, which is having the idea of making your own zone diet meals and plan. Fortunately though, all “zone diets” follows the main theme, which is the 40:30:30 ration of carbohydrates, protein and fat.
One sample is the zone diet delivery, which offers a service of a zone diet meal five times a day delivered at your door step or for an extra free anywhere you are. A professional chef is always designated for the job, any chef will do no specific preference is required as long as they can cook and can follow recipes. But there are exceptions of the zone chefs, which really studied the zone diet deeply not just the recipes, that enables them to make their own recipes.
Another is the zone diet home, which only utilizes easy to prepare meals with just ingredients coming right off the kitchen. There are loads of menus and recipes out there that offer easy to prepare zone meals from breakfast to late midnight snacks. Make a zone omelet and zone pie, which are not fancy menus but still can be a zone meal in itself following the insulin good ratio.
The last example is the “fast food zone”, which enables zoners who do not have lots of time to prepare a meal or not have the budget for the zone delivery, and can just hit the local taco bell and still maintain to be in the zone. The most popular is the Mcdonalds because of their cheap salad selection, which is a great zone meal in itself. A little research in the web and your all set to be eating at any fast food but still be in the zone.
All these varieties really point to one thing and that’s Dr. Barry Sears original zone diet. But there’s really no harm in saving a few bucks and time in getting tips from other forms of zone diets. It all boils down to if your disciplined enough and diligent to be in the zone at all time and live a healthy and productive life.
